Dr. Kayode Oyelekan is a distinguished finance executive and strategic leader with over three decades of professional experience in financial management, corporate governance, treasury management, and organizational transformation. Renowned for his integrity, accountability, and results-oriented approach, he has built an exceptional career delivering sustainable financial growth, strengthening institutional governance, and driving operational excellence.

He began his professional career in 1990 and has since established himself as a respected financial expert with extensive experience in accounting, financial planning, resource optimization, and human capital development. His strategic mindset and commitment to excellence have enabled organizations under his stewardship to achieve long-term financial stability and improved operational performance.

Before joining Bucksway’s Leverages & Investments Limited as Chief Financial Officer, Dr. Oyelekan served as Chief Accountant at University of Ibadan Ventures Limited for over two decades. As a key member of the executive management team, he played a pivotal role in transforming the organization from a loss-making enterprise into a consistently profitable business. Under the management team’s leadership, the company recorded annual profit after tax exceeding ₦100 million before his retirement in 2020. Through prudent treasury management and disciplined financial planning, the organization successfully financed major capital projects—including the Students’ Affairs Building, U&I Fast Food, U&I Bakery, and the renovation and reconstruction of U.I. Hotels—entirely from retained earnings, establishing a strong and sustainable financial foundation.

Dr. Oyelekan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the prestigious University of Ibadan and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA). He is also a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and the International Professional Managers Association (IPMA). In addition, he is a certified Trainer of Trainers, having received professional training from the Centre for Management Development (CMD), further demonstrating his passion for leadership development and organizational capacity building.
